5G 5S 2B Ever the optimist!
I think this is the very top end of what we might hope for. I suspect after their good wins at HRR one or two GB crews will underperform, and the HRR losers will get their revenge, but alas not the GB 8 who have to sort out their first 500m speed. Think Sydney guys! I predict the NZ/GB 2- gap will have widened with NZ being 3-4 s quicker over the 1st 1K. Maybe there's a medal in Campbell though.

very harsh on the pair. I think this is the pyscological make or break point. First time racing them again in a new season, with probably a huge amount of the mental energy in training going in to thinking about being able to get gold not silver this year. If they can't come out now and do it, I don't think they ever will.

So where do we think GBR2 2- Stan & Nash will come?

Unlikely but it would be funny - turn over H&R and the Kiwis then watch the fall out

Should make A final I'd have thought and then who knows what can happen? But not very likely.

Shame they didn't do the Goblets as 1829.

They wouldn't have to. Composites allowed.

Would they be eligible to row as 1829 if they haven't graduated?

Dont see why not. Its an open event, you can row for who you want.
Think the no students in alumni rule only applies to club events. And regardless, 1829 isnt either of their alumni clubs - bosphorus and crabtree are - not sure where 1829 would fit in with that one.

Just a bit of a curiosity but there are 5 pairs of brothers racing in LM4- including 3 pairs if twins (out of 19 crews). That has to be some sort of record!!
They probably all saw the Social Network film and decided to take up rowing
